Is the Joseph Joseph EasyStore Small Toothbrush Caddy Worth It?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Buy the small Joseph Joseph EasyStore toothbrush caddy when separate compartments and removable parts would make a cluttered sink easier to maintain. Keep a suitable cup if it already holds your items neatly and cleans easily. This is an organisation upgrade, not a toothbrush charger or a sterilising device.

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
EasyStore small caddy Separated storage for a modest daily kit Hand washing and a fixed compartment layout
Existing suitable cup A few items stored simply Items may crowd together
Larger organiser A larger household kit that genuinely needs room More countertop area and cleaning surface

Start with the small model’s footprint

Joseph Joseph lists this compact format at 12.7 centimetres high with a nine-by-nine-centimetre footprint. The grey version linked here is model 70509. Larger EasyStore and steel-finish versions are separate products, so compare the actual model and dimensions.

Mark a nine-centimetre square beside your sink. Allow space to lift the caddy and clean underneath, and check that it does not crowd the faucet controls. A neat-looking accessory still occupies a work surface you may need for everyday washing.

Three sections are useful only if your items fit

The small caddy divides toothbrush and toothpaste storage rather than giving you one open cup. That can make items easier to retrieve and put away. It is most useful when you have a modest kit and dislike several loose pieces sharing a narrow tumbler.

Lay out the actual brushes, toothpaste and other items first. A full-size tube or thick electric-brush handle can change the fit considerably. Do not infer capacity from a lifestyle photo showing unusually slim items or an almost empty tube.

Electric-brush storage is different from charging

The manufacturer’s description includes electric or battery toothbrushes. That refers to storing suitable items; it does not establish compatibility with every handle, charging base, cable or travel case. Check the dimensions and keep the toothbrush manufacturer’s charging and ventilation instructions in mind.

If your current base already gives the electric brush an appropriate home, another caddy may create duplication. Buy it for the loose items that need organisation, not on the assumption that it replaces the equipment supplied with the brush.

Dismantling is the practical upgrade over a cup

Joseph Joseph says the caddy comes apart for cleaning and is ventilated. Access to the inside matters because residue is easier to overlook in a narrow one-piece holder. Before paying for the upgrade, consider whether you will actually take it apart and clean it regularly.

Ventilation is a design feature, not evidence that a damp brush or dirty holder becomes hygienic automatically. We have not tested drying time, bacterial levels or performance in a frequently splashed bathroom. Avoid treating an organiser as a health device.

The care routine remains manual

The maker specifies washing and drying by hand. Do not put it in the dishwasher because another bathroom accessory happens to be dishwasher safe. Follow the directions for the exact finish and let the parts dry before reassembly.

A removable design may make cleaning access easier but adds pieces to handle. If you strongly prefer a single smooth cup that rinses quickly, that preference is a legitimate reason to skip the caddy. We have not tested long-term staining or how the feet wear on different counters.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Choose the small EasyStore for a modest set of items that fits its sections and for cleaning access you will use. Choose more space only if the actual kit needs it. Keep your cup if separation is not a recurring problem.

Our verdict is a useful organisation upgrade when compartments solve crowding. It is not essential and does not improve how a toothbrush cleans teeth. Compare the exact small model, delivered price and return terms; buy for the items on your counter, not a promise of a completely clutter-free bathroom.

Is the OXO Toilet Plunger and Canister Worth It Over a Basic Plunger?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

The OXO Toilet Plunger and Canister is worth considering when you need a toilet plunger and want contained, accessible storage beside the bowl. Keep a suitable basic plunger that already works and has a sensible storage place. The strongest upgrade is the holder and drip management, not proof that it clears every blockage better.

Research-based buying guide. Checked October 17, 2026. We have not tested these products hands-on. Manufacturer information, attributed external findings and our editorial judgments are distinguished below.

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO plunger with canister Concealed, readily accessible bathroom storage Taller setup with a holder to clean
Suitable basic toilet plunger A working tool at lower replacement cost Needs an appropriate storage and drip arrangement
Maintenance assessment Repeated or unresolved drainage problems A different task from buying a storage upgrade

Know what the canister adds

OXO describes a holder that opens when the plunger is lifted and closes when it is replaced. A ventilated drip tray collects residual water. That reduces the need to handle a separate cover during retrieval and gives the tool a defined place.

Those are storage features. They do not mean the inside remains clean automatically or that the tool can be put away without following its care directions. Evaluate the tray and canister as parts you will have to inspect and maintain.

Check the exact model and room for the handle

The white model linked here is listed as 12241700. Similar OXO listings include other colours and brush-and-plunger combinations. Confirm that the package contains the plunger and holder you intend to buy, rather than a separate brush or a different bundle.

Retailer specifications put this format around 24 inches tall with a roughly six-inch base area. Check the exact dimensions in the listing and measure your planned location, including handle clearance. A concealed corner is unhelpful if the tool cannot be lifted out easily.

Toilet fit matters more than broad compatibility language

OXO describes its head for toilet use, including low-flush designs. That is the manufacturer’s intended compatibility, not a guarantee of a good seal on every particular bowl. Check your toilet’s shape and manufacturer guidance, and assess the delivered tool promptly.

If your existing suitable plunger works, there is no evidence here that replacing it improves performance. We have not compared sealing, measured force or tested blockage-clearing ability. The buying recommendation therefore centres on fit and storage rather than a universal effectiveness claim.

Outside experience places a useful limit on the verdict

The Spruce’s long-term coverage found this OXO useful for smaller clogs and highlighted its automatic canister, while noting the height and a weaker case for substantial blockages. That supports viewing it as an everyday household option rather than an all-purpose fix.

That is another publication’s experience. It cannot diagnose a particular drain problem or establish that buying a stronger-looking plunger is the right response. Persistent or recurring problems belong with the appropriate maintenance service, not repeated accessory upgrades.

The holder should be easy to clean where it lives

Before buying, look at how you would remove collected water and clean the canister according to its directions. Ventilation helps the storage design, but collected residue still needs attention. Avoid placing the base where routine floor cleaning becomes awkward.

Also keep toilet-cleaning tools separate from brushes used for sinks or food equipment. A tidy-looking cover is not a reason to mix their storage. We have not tested drying times, odour control or long-term wear of the opening mechanism.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Choose this OXO when you need a suitable toilet plunger and value a coordinated holder with drip collection. Skip it if you already have an effective tool and an easy-to-clean storage arrangement. Do not buy it as a substitute for unresolved plumbing maintenance.

Our best-value recommendation is a suitable basic plunger first; pay for OXO’s canister when accessible covered storage solves a real problem in your bathroom. Compare complete package contents, delivered cost and returns in your country before ordering.

Is the OXO Folding Sweater Dryer Worth It for a Small Laundry Space?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

The OXO Folding Sweater Dryer is worth considering when your garments require flat drying and your existing rack lacks a suitable surface. A clean towel may be enough for occasional use. Buy only after measuring its open footprint: folding storage does not make a 26-inch-square drying surface small while you are using it.

Research-based buying guide. Checked October 17, 2026. We have not tested these products hands-on. Manufacturer information, attributed external findings and our editorial judgments are distinguished below.

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO flat mesh dryer Regular flat drying with air space below Broad open footprint and initial assembly
Suitable clean towel Occasional flat drying without another purchase A different drying setup and towel to manage
Existing rack with a suitable shelf Several laundry jobs in one system Shelf shape and support must suit the garment

The garment label decides the task

Start with the care directions on the clothes you wash. If an item needs to lie flat, assess whether your current setup supports it as intended. A folding mesh platform has a clearer purpose here than a rack designed mainly for hanging clothes over bars.

Do not buy it in the expectation that it makes an unsuitable washing method safe or guarantees that clothing will never shrink or stretch. The rack provides a surface; garment care, handling and the way you arrange the item still matter.

Measure the open and closed sizes separately

OXO lists an open size of 26 by 26 by 4.5 inches and a closed size of 19 by 8 by 2.5 inches. The mesh platform and offset legs are designed for a flat drying arrangement. Check both the usable surface and the space for its supports.

Mark a 26-inch square on the intended counter or other suitable stable location before ordering. Check that all supports can be positioned as instructed without blocking access to something you need. The space remains occupied until the garment is ready to put away.

What independent testing found

The Spruce’s rack comparison found that the OXO mesh supported a wet sweater without sagging, but described the initial assembly as awkward and the plastic as feeling light. Those findings are useful counterweights to a compact-storage sales pitch.

That testing was carried out by another publication. We have not tested sagging, stability or drying time. The result does not establish that every garment size will fit or that your room will dry it on the same schedule.

A towel can still be the better-value choice

For the occasional item, a suitable towel and existing flat area may satisfy your care routine without another purchase. The OXO has a stronger case when you repeatedly want air space underneath and dislike managing that towel-based setup.

Compare the whole task rather than buying mesh on principle. Where will the wet item go, how much space will it take, and where will the rack dry and store afterwards? A useful specialist tool should make that sequence easier, not simply move the clutter.

Check assembly before the first wet load

Read the supplied assembly directions and inspect that the frame, legs and mesh are correctly fitted before using it. Avoid judging stability from a partially assembled rack. Set it up early enough to resolve a missing part or unsuitable fit within the seller’s return terms.

If you plan to use several units together, confirm the manufacturer’s stacking instructions for the exact version and connect supports as directed. Do not assume that loose stacking or a narrow appliance top is a suitable arrangement just because you have seen a photo of one.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Buy the OXO if flat-dry garments are regular laundry, the open size fits and you have somewhere to put it away. Skip it if a towel works well for infrequent use or your existing rack already has a suitable flat shelf.

Our verdict is a useful addition for a specific care need, with footprint and assembly as the main tradeoffs. Start with the garments you actually own. We have not tested long-term frame wear or claimed that this rack will speed up every drying job.

Is the simplehuman Wall-Mount Grocery Bag Dispenser Worth It?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Buy the simplehuman Wall-Mount Grocery Bag Dispenser if loose thin bags regularly spill out of a cupboard and a fixed dispenser would make reuse easier. Keep a box or bag you already own when it contains the supply neatly. This is storage for a particular bag format, not a general organiser for bulky reusable shopping totes.

Research-based buying guide. Checked October 17, 2026. We have not tested these products hands-on. Manufacturer information, attributed external findings and our editorial judgments are distinguished below.

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
simplehuman dispenser A regular supply of thin bags and a suitable mounting spot Installation and cabinet clearance matter
Existing box or bag A modest supply that is already contained Less convenient if the whole supply tumbles out
Hook or open basket Bulky reusable totes A different storage job and footprint

Count the bags you actually keep

simplehuman states a capacity of up to 30 grocery bags, loaded through the top and retrieved through the front slot. Treat that as a format-dependent capacity, not a promise that 30 bags of every thickness will fit.

Empty your current storage first. If the supply is mostly bulky fabric totes, insulated shopping bags or just a few folded liners, this dispenser is unlikely to be the right tool. Its strongest case is a repeated retrieval problem with suitable thin bags.

A fixed dispenser should improve a daily action

The value is straightforward: a defined place to put bags away and an accessible slot to take one out. If you routinely reuse them and dislike digging through a crowded cupboard, that can be a meaningful improvement.

If a small box already works, moving to steel storage may mostly change the appearance. Do not buy extra bags to fill an organiser or assume that a new container makes the supply more useful. The best-value solution holds only what your household actually uses.

Measure the cabinet with the door moving

The Canadian retailer listing gives an approximate size of 6.6 inches wide, 3.6 inches deep and 15.6 inches tall. Confirm the exact listing’s dimensions and allow room above it for loading. Then check the entire opening and closing path of the cabinet door.

A dispenser that fits on the back of a door can still hit shelves, plumbing or stored bottles when closed. Make a paper or cardboard outline before installation. Also check that you can reach the front slot without moving another organiser every time.

Choose the mounting method deliberately

The listed installation options include screws or adhesive tape. Follow the supplied instructions for the chosen surface and method. Do not interpret an adhesive option as a guarantee of damage-free removal on paint, veneer or a rented cabinet.

If drilling or adhesive is unsuitable for your home, a freestanding container is a legitimate alternative. The convenience of pulling out a bag does not justify a mounting arrangement that conflicts with the surface, door construction or permission you have to modify it.

Read regional support and stock carefully

The manufacturer and retailer pages we checked do not all show identical warranty wording. Confirm the applicable terms with the regional seller or manufacturer before relying on a fixed coverage period, particularly for an imported offer.

The Canadian Amazon product page matched this model during our check, but a purchase offer was not confirmed. Use the country link to inspect the current listing, then compare stock, seller and delivered cost. We do not promise Canadian availability from the existence of a product page.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Choose simplehuman when suitable bags accumulate, frequent reuse makes front access useful and you have a sound mounting location. Skip it when your supply is small, your bags are bulky or an existing box already keeps them tidy.

Our verdict is a tidy convenience upgrade rather than an essential kitchen purchase. Start with a no-cost container; pay for the fixed dispenser when it removes a recurring mess. We have not tested dispensing consistency, adhesive life or performance on different cabinet finishes.

Buying in the United States or Canada

The U.S. and Canadian buttons lead to the checked product pages. A Canadian purchase offer was not confirmed during research, so check current stock rather than assuming the item can be ordered. Compare the exact model, seller, delivered cost, returns and applicable regional warranty. Avoid treating an imported offer as equivalent to local manufacturer support.

Is the OXO Silicone Shower and Tub Drain Protector Worth It?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Choose the OXO Silicone Shower and Tub Drain Protector when you need a removable hair catcher that can sit over a raised pop-up drain. Choose a suitable flat catcher when there is no raised fitting to clear. Buy only after checking the surface and clearance: the dome shape is useful, but fit determines whether it earns its place.

Research-based buying guide. Checked October 17, 2026. We have not tested these products hands-on. Manufacturer information, attributed external findings and our editorial judgments are distinguished below.

Person cleaning shower glass with a squeegee

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO domed protector Clearance above a suitable pop-up drain Raised profile and a rim that must sit properly
Suitable flat drain catcher A compatible flat shower drain May not clear a raised stopper
Existing working catcher Hair collection and flow are already satisfactory No reason to replace it purely for styling

Start with the drain you actually have

OXO’s model 13140900 uses a silicone dome and a weighted stainless-steel accent. The manufacturer lists a 4.5-inch footprint dimension and a 1.75-inch height. Compare those figures with the drain fitting and the surrounding landing area before ordering.

A pop-up stopper needs clearance above it, while the surrounding rim needs a suitable place to rest. Look at the actual contour, nearby ridges and slope. A product described for pop-up and regular drains is not evidence of a universal seal on every bath or shower.

A raised dome solves one particular problem

The strongest reason to choose this model over a flat catcher is space above a protruding fitting. If your drain is already flat, that additional profile may be unnecessary. OXO also makes a separate low-profile shower-stall protector, which is a different design.

Think about where feet move during ordinary use and whether a raised object near the drain suits the shower. The best design is one you can position properly without creating an obstruction in a small standing area. This guide does not rate the item as a non-slip surface.

Hair collection and drainage are a maintenance balance

The intended job is intercepting loose hair while water passes through. As material accumulates, the cleaning task moves to a removable surface you can inspect. That convenience depends on removing the collected material often enough for your use.

We have not tested flow rates, hair-capture percentages or performance across different water pressures. Do not treat the maker’s drainage language as a guarantee that water will never collect, especially when the catcher needs cleaning or an existing drain is already slow.

It is not a repair for a blocked drain

If water was draining poorly before the catcher arrived, a cover does not identify or resolve the underlying cause. Likewise, catching some loose hair cannot establish that every future blockage will be prevented.

Buy this as an accessible collection tool. If the practical problem is an established obstruction or a fitting that needs attention, deal with that through the appropriate maintenance route. Avoid paying for an accessory in the expectation that it will fix plumbing out of view.

Compare the exact model and cleanability

Similar OXO names include the domed silicone protector and a flat stainless-steel shower-stall protector. Check photos and model details on the country listing, especially if a retailer shortens the name to drain cover. The shape and dimensions matter more than the brand alone.

Follow the supplied care directions and rinse residue from both the openings and the underside. Inspect how easily you can lift, clear and reposition the protector. We have not tested long-term discolouration, rim deformation or how every cleaning product affects its materials.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Buy the domed OXO if it clears your fitting, rests properly around it and makes routine hair removal easier. Skip it if the footprint or height does not suit the drain, or your existing flat catcher already works well.

Our verdict is fit before features. The best-value option is the simplest suitable catcher you will clean regularly. This OXO is worth the extra profile specifically when a raised stopper calls for clearance, rather than as an automatic upgrade for every bathroom.

Is the OXO Stainless Steel Sink Caddy Worth the Counter Space?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Buy the OXO Stainless Steel Sink Caddy when several wet tools need a stable countertop home and you are willing to empty its drip tray. Choose an in-sink holder if keeping the counter clear matters more. A caddy organises a drying routine; it does not remove the need to clean the tools and holder.

Research-based buying guide. Checked October 17, 2026. We have not tested these products hands-on. Manufacturer information, attributed external findings and our editorial judgments are distinguished below.

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO countertop caddy Brushes and sponges together without mounting Uses counter space and needs manual draining
In-sink holder Keeping the worktop clear Takes basin space and depends on its mounting fit
Existing suitable holder A few tools already stored neatly No reason to upgrade solely for a steel finish

Measure the landing area, not just the sink

OXO lists the caddy at 5.6 by 3.8 by 5.5 inches, with a removable divider and a drip tray that has a pour spout. The important fit is the flat area where its base will sit, including room to lift it and empty water.

Use a paper rectangle to mark the footprint beside your actual sink. Check that the faucet, backsplash and everyday dishes still have clearance. A caddy that fits only by blocking your usual washing space is not solving the right problem.

The divider is useful when your tools suit it

Separating a brush from a sponge can make both easier to retrieve. Removing the divider gives a larger open compartment, which may suit a different combination. Compare the tools you own with the available space instead of assuming that every tall bottle or soap pump belongs inside.

If you keep just one sponge, a larger freestanding organiser can be unnecessary. For several tools, it may replace scattered items with one location. The value comes from that change, rather than the number of compartments listed on the box.

The drainage is collected, not automatic

Food & Wine’s hands-on caddy comparison liked the OXO’s versatility but found that the draining area required attention. Its tester wanted more automatic drainage and kept an eye on the interior for water and grime. That is a meaningful drawback for someone expecting a maintenance-free accessory.

OXO’s tray catches drips for you to empty. Place it where that small task is easy to remember and perform. We have not timed drying or tested bacterial levels, and do not treat ventilation holes as proof that a wet sponge becomes hygienic by itself.

Countertop storage avoids a mounting problem

A freestanding design makes sense when you do not want suction cups or adhesive inside the sink. You can reposition it without choosing a mounting patch. The tradeoff is that the whole unit remains on the counter when you want a completely clear surface.

An in-sink caddy can be the better choice in a cramped kitchen if its mounting system suits the basin. Compare where dishes pass, where a large pan rests and where wet tools can drain. The best location is specific to your sink, not to a product’s styling.

Cleaning access is a buying feature

The divider and tray create useful access, but you still have to clean their surfaces and let parts dry. Follow the supplied care directions; do not assume every steel-and-plastic accessory has the same dishwasher permission.

Consider whether the finish is worth maintaining beside your faucet. We have not tested corrosion resistance or appearance after months of soap splashes. If your existing holder already drains and cleans easily, steel alone is a weak upgrade argument.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Choose the OXO for multiple tools, a suitable flat landing area and a routine that includes emptying the tray. Skip it if counter space is the main shortage or a small existing holder already works.

Our verdict is a useful organiser with a visible maintenance cost. The countertop design wins for easy placement and flexible compartments; an appropriate in-sink holder wins when preserving the worktop is more important. Buy for tool fit and drainage habits before choosing a finish.

Is the Joseph Joseph BladeBrush Worth It for Washing Knives?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

The Joseph Joseph BladeBrush is worth considering if washing kitchen knives is a frequent task and you prefer a brush that contacts both blade faces together. Keep a suitable ordinary brush if it already gives you a controlled routine. This is a specialised cleaning accessory, not a guarantee against cuts or a replacement for careful knife handling.

Research-based buying guide. Checked October 17, 2026. We have not tested these products hands-on. Manufacturer information, attributed external findings and our editorial judgments are distinguished below.

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
BladeBrush Dedicated cleaning of both blade faces Bulky shape and limited use beyond knives
Ordinary dish brush A versatile tool for dishes and knives Different positioning and control
Existing approved cleaning routine No extra accessory to buy or store Worth keeping only if it suits the knife and user

What the wraparound shape changes

Joseph Joseph uses opposed bristles inside a folded frame, with a textured handgrip outside. The intended benefit is cleaning both sides of a blade in one pass while holding the frame. That is a different shape from pressing an ordinary brush against one side.

It remains a manual brush. Read the supplied handling instructions and your knife maker’s cleaning directions. Do not assume the frame shields every edge, point or blade shape, or allows you to stop paying attention to where your hands are.

Independent testing supports the niche, with drawbacks

GearLab’s purchased-product comparison found BladeBrush effective for its knife-cleaning role but less versatile than an ordinary brush. Its tester also wanted a more comfortable grip and found the frame somewhat narrow for a four-finger hold.

That is a useful reason to assess the shape in your own hand rather than buy solely from a safety-oriented description. The test is outside evidence, not our personal experience. It does not establish a universal fit, an injury-reduction rate or years of durability.

The best buyer washes knives regularly

If you hand-wash a kitchen knife after most meals, a dedicated tool may earn its place beside the sink. If you seldom use one or already have a good brush, this adds another item to clean for a narrow task.

Think about the full routine: washing, rinsing, drying and putting the knife away. An accessory that helps one stage may still feel awkward in the complete sequence. We have not timed the process or compared it across different knife collections.

Check the blade and the grip before the feature list

A narrow utility knife, broad chef’s knife and serrated knife do not present the same shape. Confirm how the maker intends the brush to be used with your tools; do not force an unsuitable item into the gap. The benefit depends on fit and deliberate control.

A textured plastic grip also feels different from a soft handle. If you cannot hold the frame comfortably, its two-sided cleaning action is a weak reason to keep it. Use return terms to assess suitability early rather than accepting an awkward tool because it looks clever.

Hand washing applies to the brush too

Joseph Joseph specifies washing BladeBrush by hand. Its compact frame still encloses bristles that can retain residue. Follow its care directions, rinse the working area thoroughly and store it where it can dry.

Do not place it in the dishwasher merely because some dish brushes are dishwasher safe. Nor should you infer a longer lifespan from protected bristles alone. We have not tested bristle wear, residue retention or long-term changes to the grip.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Buy BladeBrush when knives are a regular washing job, its frame suits your hand and you are willing to keep a specialist brush. Skip it if an ordinary brush already works, the grip feels wrong or you need one versatile tool for all the dishes.

Our verdict is useful specialisation with a real storage and versatility tradeoff. Choose handling over novelty. The cheaper choice is the brush you already use successfully; the upgrade is worthwhile only when this particular shape improves a recurring task for you.

Is the OXO Soap Dispensing Dish Brush Worth It Over a Plain Brush?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Choose the OXO Soap Dispensing Dish Brush if you regularly want soap available in a long handle and will maintain its reservoir and replaceable head. A plain dish brush is better value when reaching for the soap bottle is no inconvenience. The dispenser adds convenience and extra parts, so buy it for your washing routine rather than a promise of faster cleaning.

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO dispensing brush Soap release in a long-handled tool Reservoir, cap and button need attention
Plain dish brush A simple everyday brush with separate soap No on-tool dispensing
Palm brush Close control on reachable dishes Less reach inside deep vessels

The current model needs an exact-listing check

OXO’s current Good Grips brush, SKU 12361700, has a button-operated soap reservoir, nylon bristles, a scraper and replaceable heads. Older Good Grips versions, Softworks brushes and storage bundles also appear online. Match the actual brush and included parts before comparing prices.

This guide concerns the brush-only purchase. A photo showing a holder does not establish that a stand is included. If you need somewhere for a wet brush to drain, compare the complete setup rather than discovering that extra purchase afterwards.

Decide whether dispensing solves a real annoyance

The strongest case is a regular hand-washing session with several dishes: you can add soap without repeatedly putting down the brush. If you already dose soap into a washing bowl or prefer a separate bottle, the reservoir may add little.

A plain brush has fewer places to refill, seal and clean. The OXO’s convenience is most valuable when it removes a step you actually dislike. We have not measured soap consumption or washing time, and do not assume the button uses less detergent in every routine.

A long handle does not make the head fit every opening

Compared with a palm brush, the handle gives a different working position and more reach. But the brush head still needs to fit through the opening. A narrow bottle or small glass may need a bottle brush instead; forcing a broad head into it is not a useful upgrade.

Check cookware care instructions before using the bristles or scraper. OXO describes the nylon bristles as suitable for non-stick cookware, but your pan maker’s restrictions still matter. A scraper on a brush is not approval to use force on a delicate finish.

What outside testing can—and cannot—tell us

GearLab liked an earlier OXO soap-brush storage set’s handling and replaceable head, but discussed button-cracking reports and noted that its tested model was later replaced. That is useful context for inspecting moving parts, not an independent durability test of this current brush.

Check the delivered cap seal, button action and head attachment early. Look for soap escaping when the tool is stored as instructed. We have not tested this version for leakage, button life or head wear and cannot turn older findings into a current-model guarantee.

Refills and drying determine the ongoing cost

OXO says replacement heads are available. Confirm the correct compatible refill in your country and compare its delivered cost with the plain brush you would otherwise use. A reusable handle is less useful if matching heads are awkward or expensive to obtain.

Keep the brush and reservoir clean according to the supplied directions and provide a place for it to drain. Replacing bristles does not eliminate reservoir maintenance. If you dislike looking after cleaning tools, the simplest brush that does the job may be the better purchase.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Buy this OXO when the long handle, convenient soap button and obtainable refill heads fit your daily washing. Skip it if a plain brush already works, you do little hand washing or the reservoir adds upkeep you do not want.

Our best-value choice is the plain brush for simplicity; the OXO is the convenience upgrade for frequent users who want on-tool soap. Choose by head fit and maintenance first, then compare price. Neither format is automatically better at every dish or kitchen task.

Is the OXO Kitchen Appliance Cleaning Set Worth It for Crevices?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Buy the OXO Kitchen Appliance Cleaning Set if ordinary cloths and dish brushes repeatedly miss the seams and removable parts you clean. Keep an existing suitable detail brush if it already reaches those areas. The useful upgrade is a choice of small working shapes, not permission to scrape every appliance surface.

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO cleaning set Several recurring crevice-cleaning tasks Small brushes need cleaning and a dedicated storage spot
Existing suitable detail brush One accessible seam or fitting May lack a useful scraper or loop
Ordinary dish brush Broad dishes and accessible surfaces Often too bulky for narrow recesses

Four working ends, not four separate brushes

OXO describes durable nylon brushes and scrapers with tools that clip together for storage. The set combines a loop brush, angled brush and two scraper shapes. That gives you alternatives for reaching around removable parts, seams and small corners.

Before ordering, identify two or three areas where your present brush physically cannot reach. A photograph of a grubby appliance is not enough to establish that a new head will fit. Check opening width, access around the part and the cleaning directions for that appliance.

Small shapes can help without replacing routine cleaning

A cloth remains simpler for an open worktop, and a normal dish brush covers a large plate more efficiently than a detail tool. Use the OXO set for the awkward last part of a cleaning job, rather than turning it into your only kitchen brush.

Food & Wine’s coverage collects shopper reports about useful access around appliance seams and fixtures. Those accounts support possible uses, but the article is not a controlled comparison or proof that a scraper is harmless on every finish. We have not tested cleaning speed or stain removal ourselves.

The appliance manual decides where it can go

Disconnect and prepare an appliance for cleaning as its manufacturer directs. Remove only parts intended to be removed, and do not push a brush into a powered mechanism, electrical housing or an inaccessible cavity. A long tool does not make an internal component user-serviceable.

Likewise, verify that a scraper is permitted on the actual coating or surface. Start with an approved gentler method where appropriate. The brush set does not substitute for a prescribed descaling process, filter replacement or other appliance-specific maintenance.

A blade-cleaning suggestion is not a safety guarantee

Retail descriptions mention using the loop near blender or juicer components. Decide whether the part can be cleaned safely and whether its manual allows that method. Follow its instructions for handling sharp components; avoid treating the brush as protection against contact with a blade.

This is a buying guide to small cleaning tools, not a repair procedure. If reaching a recess means overriding a guard, dismantling an appliance beyond its cleaning directions or applying force near a sharp mechanism, this set is not a reason to attempt it.

Keep kitchen tools separate from bathroom tools

If you want a second set for bathroom fixtures, give it a distinct storage location and purpose. A brush used around a toilet should not return to cleaning food-preparation equipment. The compact clip is useful only if the tools remain easy to identify and retrieve.

OXO marks the set dishwasher safe. Follow the supplied care directions, rinse away trapped debris and let the tools dry. We have not measured bristle life or tested whether the clip stays secure after repeated use; check those points while the purchase is still returnable.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Choose the OXO for several repeated cleaning jobs where the loop, angled head or scraper adds access your existing tools lack. Skip it if a suitable small brush already solves the only problem you have. A larger kit is poor value if three working ends never leave the drawer.

Our verdict is a practical detail-cleaning accessory with a clear limit: appliance and surface instructions still come first. Compare the exact set, delivered price and local return terms. Buy the shapes you need, rather than a claim that one kit can deep-clean everything.

Is the OXO Extendable Tub and Tile Scrubber Worth It?

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, My Indoor Space earns from qualifying purchases.

Quick verdict

Buy the OXO Extendable Tub and Tile Scrubber when reaching the far side or low walls of a bath is the main difficulty. Keep a hand brush for close, precise work. The longer handle can change your working position, but the pivoting pad is a tradeoff if you want firm control over its angle.

Which option fits your routine?

Choice Choose it for Tradeoff
OXO extendable scrubber More reach with a replaceable scrubbing pad Pivot movement and replacement-pad costs
Hand brush Close control on a reachable area Short reach
Powered scrubber A powered action you specifically want Battery upkeep, weight and a different purchase cost

Check that the listing is the pad model

OXO sells an Extendable Tub and Tile Scrubber and a separate bristle brush. This guide is about the replaceable-pad scrubber, manufacturer SKU 12126100. Match that identity rather than relying on a marketplace title that loosely calls every cleaning head a brush.

OXO states a twist-adjusted reach of roughly 26 to 42 inches. That can help with a distant wall or low cleaning area. It does not establish that you can clean every bathroom from one position, or that the handle will suit every user.

The pivot is both the feature and the compromise

A movable head can meet an angled wall or corner, but it can also turn when you would prefer it to stay square. That is the central decision here: reach is useful only if the pad remains manageable against the surface you are cleaning.

Day Undefined’s reviewer Lisa found the length adjustment relatively easy but reported difficulty holding the head in the wanted orientation across a shower. Her February 2025 update said the tool remained helpful in daily use. That mixed firsthand account supports considering it for reach, without treating control as a solved problem for everyone.

Test the extension mechanism during the return window

User feedback on the retailer pages we checked includes complaints about the telescoping shaft staying extended. Those reports do not establish a failure rate, and other users find adjustment workable. They do identify something worth checking promptly with a newly delivered tool.

Follow the maker’s extension directions, then assess the lock and pivot on a suitable surface. If either makes ordinary cleaning unpredictable, more reach will not compensate. We have not tested the mechanism or compared the force needed with a hand brush.

Surface compatibility comes before scrubbing power

Check your bath, tile and fixture maker’s cleaning instructions before choosing a pad or cleaning product. A broad bathroom label is not evidence that every abrasive surface is suitable for every coating, acrylic finish, stone or sealant.

Try the permitted tool and cleaner in an inconspicuous area as directed. Use the scrubber for cleaning access, not as a support rail. Reaching farther should not require an unstable position or excessive pressure on a flexible handle.

Count replacement heads in the value calculation

OXO describes the head as replaceable. Compare the local price and availability of the correct scrubber refill before ordering; do not accidentally buy the separate bristle-brush refill. The initial handle price is not the full cost if you clean frequently.

A hand brush may be better value for a small reachable shower. The OXO has the stronger case when its reach removes a recurring inconvenience. We have not measured pad life, cleaning time or long-term resistance to wear, so no savings claim is built into our verdict.

Who should buy—and our verdict

Choose the OXO for a regular reach problem when you accept the moving head and can obtain suitable refills. Skip it if precise angle control is the priority, the surface manufacturer excludes the pad, or your existing short brush already reaches comfortably.

Our best-value recommendation is to solve the actual access problem first. Buy this model for its adjustable reach, then judge the lock and pivot early. Do not upgrade simply because the longer tool looks more capable in a listing photo.
